Steel Screen-Printing Office Building in South Windsor, Connecticut

Sunward Steel Buildings, Inc., fabricated and supplied this pre-engineered steel office building on behalf of a customer in South Windsor, Connecticut, in June of 2003.

These days, the steel building serves triple-duty as an office, warehouse, and production facility for Zoppa Studio, LLC, a screen-printing company that specializes in digital wide-format and UV screen-printed items. Established in 1978, the company has grown considerably in size and scope through the years, and this steel building became the company’s corporate headquarters 25 years after its founding to accommodate continued growth.

Affordable, Sustainable Commercial Construction Solutions

Contrary to popular belief, pre-engineered steel buildings don’t need to look like metal boxes or factories. On the contrary, today’s business owners can utilize any number of architectural elements and customization options to give their buildings the look they desire. Prefabricated metal corporate buildings are also almost completely customizable throughout, meaning business owners can configure everything from ceiling height, insulation, and ventilation to windows, doors, and skylights to enhance their buildings’ functionality.

As Zoppa Studios grew over the years, so, too, did a need for a larger corporate office space and production facility, and the business owner designed this particular steel building with the business’s specific needs in mind. Now, the company has more than 15,000 square feet of space in total it can use to produce screen-printed and digital-format graphics, among other products.

Located in north-central Connecticut, the town of South Windsor is a part of Hartford County. The community lies about 12 miles northeast of Hartford and roughly 7 miles north of Manchester, Connecticut.
