Personal Steel Garage in Greenville, Georgia

When a resident of Greenville, Georgia, needed a personal shop and garage, she tasked Sunward Steel Buildings with designing and fabricating a building to meet her needs.

Sunward Steel designed and engineered this metal shop to the buyer’s precise specifications, delivering the pre-engineered steel building kit to the job site in March of 2021. Nowadays, the owner uses the building as a garage, shop, and storage area, keeping vehicles, dirt bikes, and other goods safe, dry, and protected from the elements.

The metal garage’s wide clear span eliminates interior columns or trusses, maximizing usable floor space, and it also has windows throughout, allowing plenty of natural light inside.

Affordable, customizable steel automotive buildings

Often bought for use as personal garages, auto body shops, auto dealerships, and carports, among other automotive uses, pre-engineered steel buildings are easy to customize in line with a buyer’s needs and the building codes in place in a given area. Faster to raise and lower-maintenance than traditional wood buildings, steel automotive buildings also maintain their beauty and functionality better over time and need little more than a power wash to maintain their exterior appeal.

Situated in west-central Georgia, the city of Greenville is part of Meriwether County. The community of about 800 people sits about 60 miles southwest of the city of Atlanta and is part of the Atlanta – Sandy Springs – Marietta, Georgia, metro area.

The building owner confirmed the building codes this building must meet with the local building department, and Sunward Steel engineered it to meet these specifications, adding a 3.5-psf snow load and a 115-mph wind rating.
