Steel Auto & RV Repair Shop in Foley, Alabama

When the owner of a Foley, Alabama automotive and RV repair shop needed more space for business operations, he tasked Sunward Steel with designing and fabricating a metal building to help accommodate his growing clientele.

Sunward Steel stepped up, delivering the pre-engineered steel building kit for a automotive business to the southern Alabama community in late August of 2022. Custom-designed to meet the owner’s needs and engineered for the area’s occasional strong storms and gusty winds, the durable, multifunctional automotive building spans 2,800 square feet and features high, 16’ ceilings that can easily house car lifts, large vehicles and SUVs.

Insulated to enhance comfort for mechanics and reduce operational costs for the owner, the steel garage has 6” of fiberglass insulation with WMP-VR facing installed in its roof and another 4” of faced R-13 fiberglass insulation lining its walls. The facing material helps protect the fiberglass blankets from moisture and tears, preserving their thermal performance while improving the look of the building from the inside. In addition to making the metal auto shop more comfortable and energy efficient, the insulation package also muffles noise, reducing sounds from tools and machinery while minimizing disruptions to the surrounding area.

Functional and spacious on the inside and attractive and modern on the outside, the steel auto shop has Rustic Red walls and contrasting Polar White trim that give it a traditional “barn” aesthetic. Great for working on vehicles, storing them safely or housing tools, lifts and auto parts, this durable, sustainable steel building provides reliable protection from the Alabama elements while keeping cars, trucks and RVs dry, safe and protected from theft and the elements.
