Prefabricated Metal Shop and Warehouse in Cambridge, Massachusetts

Sunward Steel Buildings, Inc., fabricated and supplied these (2) pre-engineered metal buildings in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The now-owner purchased the first building, a warehouse, in August of 2007, and it arrived at the build site in April of 2008. The owner purchased the second steel building, a shop, at the same time as the first, and it arrived at the build site in November of 2011.

Engineered for use by Anderson & McQuaid Co., Inc., a Cambridge-based lumber milling specialist, the buildings feature top-quality steel construction, resulting in unparalleled strength and durability. The steel warehouse gives company executives a safe, secure space to store inventory, while the expansive metal shop building gives them space for construction, milling and woodworking efforts.

Affordable, Reliable Construction Solutions

Often used for warehouse, storage, industrial, manufacturing, and similar purposes, pre-engineered steel buildings are typically more affordable, faster to raise, and more sustainable than wood alternatives. Unlike wood buildings, they require only minimal maintenance over time, and they are also completely recyclable once they reach the end of their lifespans.

Massachusetts’ fifth-most-populated city after Boston, Worcester, Springfield and Lowell, Cambridge is home to Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Part of eastern Massachusetts’ Middlesex County, the community sits about 3.5 miles outside Boston.
