Steel Aircraft Hangar in Astoria, Oregon

Sunward Steel Buildings, Inc., was the fabricator and supplier of this premanufactured metal building in Astoria, Oregon, in April of 1999.

Currently, the building serves as a steel airplane hangar on the grounds of the Port of Astoria-owned Warrenton-Astoria Regional Airport, one of the most accessible general aviation airports on the northern Oregon coast. Used primarily for temporary and long-term private aircraft storage, the hangar provides a safe, secure place for owners to store valuable assets, and the building also provides a storage area for mowers, tractors, and other equipment used in airport operations. The Life Flight Network, which offers air ambulance services throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Montana, also uses part of the hangar as its base of operations at the airport.

Unrivaled Protection for Aircraft

Highly desirable among those seeking affordable, durable aircraft storage solutions, pre-engineered steel hangars are highly customizable and can house everything from small, personal aircrafts to commercial jumbo jets. Offered with single or multiple units, metal hangars are also available with a broad range of bi-fold or commercial sliding door options.

This particular prefabricated steel hangar has been a part of the airport for 20 years now, offering supreme protection for stored aircraft and ample room for equipment storage. Situated along the south shore of the Columbia River, the port city of Astoria is a part of Clatsop County. The community sits roughly 100 miles from Portland and about 25 miles north of Cannon Beach.
