Steel Garage & Storage in Bennett, Colorado

When a resident of northern Colorado wanted a safe, secure place to store his valuable hot rod collection, he tasked Sunward Steel with designing and fabricating the solution. Sunward Steel obliged, sending the building kit for this prefabricated metal garage to the town of Bennett in January 2023.

These days, the steel building houses the owner’s collection of modified vehicles, keeping them safe and in the face of harsh weather, heavy snowfall, fire and extreme temperatures. Having a secure, designated place to store these classic vehicles also helps prevent theft or damage caused by rodents or other pests, helping preserve the value, beauty and functionality of the hot rods kept inside.

On the outside, the steel garage blends well with its natural surroundings thanks to Saddle Tan exterior paint and Polar White roof and trim package. On the inside, the building has an open, clear span design that maximizes space for hot rods by eliminating interior columns or trusses. High, 16’ ceilings allow for the addition of car lifts or other large assets, while three doors in several different sizes make it easy to move vehicles in and out.

Designed with both functionality and aesthetics in mind, this metal garage building does more than just give the owner a safe, year-round place to store his prized collection – it also enhances peace of mind by keeping his hot rods safe and protected from the elements and other potential threats that could hurt their performance and resale value.
