Steel Gambrel Garage Storage Building in Rexburg, Idaho

A resident of Rexburg, Idaho, needed a secure, climate-controlled place to store vehicles, travel trailers, RVs and other large items year-round and ordered this custom Sunward Steel storage building in December 2024.

Striking and spacious, the building has a traditional “barn” aesthetic on the outside, with a distinctive gambrel roof adding character and dimension and Light Stone exterior paint, a Burnished Slate roof and Polar White trim helping it blend well with its natural surroundings. Inside, the steel storage building offers 1,200 square feet of floor space, while high, 14’ ceilings provide vertical storage room and can easily accommodate RVs and other oversize vehicles.

An insulation package keeps interior temperatures consistent and ideal for storage, helping preserve the life of the vehicles and other goods stored inside. The roof holds a 6” layer of WMP-VR-backed fiberglass insulation, while the walls hold 4.25” of fiberglass insulation with the same durable facing material adhered to the side facing inward. While the facing protects the fiberglass blankets from moisture and damage, it also improves the look of the storage building’s interior, resulting in a clean, polished appearance.

The metal storage building also has six large windows, which add to the structure’s architectural appeal while allowing natural light inside.
