Custom Steel Barndominium in Springville, Alabama

Sunward Steel was proud to supply a pre-engineered steel barndominium in Springville, Alabama, sending the building components to the north-central Alabama community in December of 2022.

The metal barndominium, one of three separate buildings supplied for the same client, boasts 5,400 square feet of living space complete with two bathrooms, a workout space and a designated baseball training area. It has a striking, Koko Brown exterior with a matching roof and trim that blends well with its natural setting, and it also features multiple door openings that make it easy to access and move furniture and other items in and out when needed.

Sturdy, sustainable and resistant to damage caused by fire, pests, moisture and similar hazards, the steel barndominium is a durable, economical alternative to traditional wood, brick or stucco homes. It also requires very minimal upkeep compared to other building types, saving the owner quite a bit of time and money through the years.

The metal barndominium’s flexibility and adaptability made it easy for the owner to configure the space to meet his specific needs, which included plenty of open space for athletics and recreation as well as designated places for dining, sleeping and relaxing. Its prefabricated nature also led to a shorter erection process than many alternative home types, saving the owner additional time and money on construction-related expenses.

Equal parts fashionable and functional, this metal barndominium is a prime example of the beauty, durability and affordability of residential steel construction, showcasing why steel homes continue to gain popularity as a smart and long-lasting construction solution.
