Prefabricated Multipurpose Metal Building in Ward, Colorado

Sunward Steel supplied this prefabricated multipurpose metal building for a children’s summer camp and year-round event venue in Ward, Colorado, in September 2019.

The venue, situated in the Indian Peaks Wilderness not far from Rocky Mountain National Park, offers family summer camp opportunities as well as sessions for children aged 8 to 17. It also hosts retreats, conferences, and other special events throughout the year.  This building expands and enhances the venue’s capabilities and usable square footage, adding much-needed storage space to protect vehicles, supplies and other assets from the elements and other hazards.

The steel building’s durable, functional exterior offers visual appeal thanks to Burnished Slate paint, matching trim, and a Hunter Green roof. It also blends well with the natural mountain landscape, creating a cohesive look and feel.

Adding strength and durability to the structure are 21 17’1” translucent Hi-Rib roof panels, which help channel rain or snow away from the building’s roof, exterior walls, and foundation. The roof also has 6” snow gutters that further prevent moisture or snowfall from accumulating, preventing potential damage while keeping the building safe for year-round use.

Practical, versatile, and economical, this steel building is a smart addition to the summer camp and event venue, giving the owners ample room for storage as well as extra space to use as they please.
