Custom Steel Equestrian Arena in Seeley Lake, Montana

Having a private space to ride, train and groom horses is a dream come true for most equestrian enthusiasts, and Sunward Steel made that dream a reality for one Seeley Lake, Montana resident, supplying this pre-engineered metal riding arena in December 2021.

The custom metal equestrian building has eight spacious horse stalls inside and an open, unobstructed interior that offers plenty of space for riding. An insulation package keeps energy expenses low and horses and riders comfortable during all four seasons, with 6” of WMP-VR-backed fiberglass insulation in the roof and 4” of faced fiberglass insulation in the walls.

On the outside, the metal arena boasts a traditional “barn” aesthetic characterized by Rustic Red paint, Black trim and a central cupola on the roof. Stone wainscoting and accents add to its exterior appeal, and three roofs on the front of the building – one gable and two single-slope – create covered outdoor spaces fit for grooming or cooling off.

Other notable customizations include 12 windows that allow plenty of natural light and warmth inside and gutters along the roofline that divert rain and snow away from the steel riding arena’s walls and foundation. Designed with the comfort of both horses and humans in mind, this prefabricated metal riding arena blends good looks with durability and functionality to create an ideal environment for equestrian activities.
