Pair of Mini Storage Buildings in Plover, Wisconsin
When the residents of Riverview Estates, a family-owned and operated community along the Wisconsin River, needed more space to store items outside of their homes, the owners ordered these two metal mini storage buildings to accommodate growing demand.
Supplied by Sunward Steel and sent to the small village of Plover in late October of 2022, the durable, low-maintenance metal mini storage buildings contain (24) storage units that now house outdoor gear, unused furniture, seasonal décor, lawn equipment and other belongings Riverview Estates residents use only seasonally or lack space for at home. While having a designated space to store overflow improves the look and feel of the community by preventing clutter, it also makes day-to-day life more convenient for residents who can access everything they own without crowding their living spaces or having to drive to another area.
Clean and modern, the self-storage buildings have Light Stone walls and Polar White trim that blend well with the surrounding natural landscape. Heavy-duty 29-gauge steel partitions break the interior of each building into individual storage units. The building’s roof panels also have DripStop applied underneath, which absorbs condensation before it can compromise the integrity of stored items.
Having access to onsite storage also helps the community attract new residents and expand flexibility for existing ones as needs change over time, helping the entire neighborhood stay clean, well-organized and functional for everyone who calls it home.

Building Specifications
Both metal mini storage buildings supplied for use by Riverside Estates residents are equal in size, standing 20’x120’x8.5’/9.33’ and featuring single-slope steel roofs with 0.5:12 pitches. Inside, each has (12) storage units, and each has its own 9’x7’ mini storage door providing access inside at any time.
Both structures provide reliable protection for valuables thanks to their sturdy, 26-gauge steel construction, helping maintain the functionality and value of everything kept inside. They also meet local building codes, offering 103-mph wind loads and 35-psf snow loads.
Part of Portage County and the Stevens Point metro area in central Wisconsin, the small village of Plover lies about 15 miles northeast of Wisconsin Rapids and about 72 miles north-northeast of Wisconsin Dells.
