Prefabricated Steel Garage in Alma, Colorado
A resident of a rural Colorado mountain town needed a spacious, secure place to store vehicles, lawn maintenance equipment and other goods, and Sunward Steel answered the call, sending the building kit for this pre-engineered steel garage to the property in May 2022.
The building components arrived onsite already partially put together, leading to a speedy, cost-effective construction process that gave the owners access to their new building much faster than alternative construction methods. These days, the metal garage keeps the homeowner’s vehicles and other assets safe and protected against theft, vandalism, fire and elements, and it also saves time by eliminating the need to heat up or clean snow off vehicles during colder months, leading to a quicker, more convenient start to each day.
The steel garage merges good looks with superior functionality, featuring a wide-open interior floorplan that maximizes space for car storage. Koko Brown exterior paint and trim give the metal garage nice curb appeal while blending well with the property’s alpine surroundings, and a hardy Galvalume roof sits overhead, providing reliable protection from the Colorado elements.
Situated at an elevation of 10,578 feet above sea level, Alma is the highest incorporated town in North America. As a result, it sees substantial annual snowfall compared to many other Colorado communities. Given the area’s harsh winter conditions, having a dedicated, secure place to store vehicles is especially important, as it not only keeps cars out of the snow and ice, but also reduces the risk of mechanical or performance issues that can arise as a result of exposure to extreme temperatures.
