Prefabricated Steel Personal Shop in Westhampton, New York

A Sunward Steel client in Westhampton, New York, needed a spacious, all-season place to store belongings, work on projects and otherwise use as desired and ordered this pre-engineered steel personal shop building in July of 2024.

Custom-designed in line with the client’s wishes and climate-controlled to maximize year-round comfort in the coastal community, the building boasts 3,000 square feet of open interior space and has insulation lining its roof and walls. The roof holds 6” of fiberglass insulation, while the walls hold 4”, with both the roof and wall insulation blankets featuring heavy-duty WMP-VR facing on the side facing inward. The personal shop also features large windows and six 11’4” translucent HiRib panels that let daylight in to warm up the structure without sacrificing durability.

Light Stone walls and a Polar White roof and trim give the shop nice curb appeal, blending well with the surrounding property and landscape, while high, 16’ ceilings allow for vertical storage, car lifts or other oversized items. Easy to maintain and faster to raise than most alternative construction options, this prefabricated steel shop gives the owner a safe, multifunctional space to house valuables, tackle projects and keep vehicles warm and out of the elements during the winter.
