Prefabricated Steel Agricultural Building in Morristown, South Dakota

The owner of Strangle Leaf Ag, a grain and sunflower farm based in Morristown, South Dakota, needed a secure, all-season space to store temperature-sensitive agricultural products and ordered this pre-engineered metal cold-storage building from Sunward Steel in April 2024.

Offering 5,000 square feet of unobstructed storage space plus high, 18’ ceilings that allow for additional vertical storage, the metal building has plenty of room to house seed, crops, fertilizers, equipment and other assets used regularly in farm operations. Designed to keep stored agricultural products at safe temperatures year-round in South Dakota, which has a relatively short growing season, the building not only maintains consistent interior temperatures, but also protects valuable inventory from fire, pests, moisture and other common environmental threats.

Spacious and well-designed, the steel farm building also has room for workshops or office areas, housing storage and administrative efforts under one durable, corrosion-resistant roof. It also has a bold, contemporary look on the outside, with Charcoal Gray walls and a Black roof and trim package giving it a modern, professional appearance.

Easy to raise and maintain and designed to hold up against heavy agricultural use, this pre-engineered metal cold-storage building serves double-duty by housing grain and sunflower products and supporting year-round farm operations.
