Now used as a sand storage building by members of the Johnson County Road & Bridge Department, the building features top-of-the-line steel construction, offering the strength, stability and durability Wyoming’s variable climate requires. The building houses sand the department uses to maintain more than 550 miles of county roads, many of which feel the impact of the area’s burgeoning mineral and methane extraction industry.

Building Specifications
Rugged, economical and built to last, the prefabricated metal storage building features an open front sidewall, while its left end wall and 30” of its back sidewall boast an 8’ high concrete wall. Altogether, the steel sand storage building stands 30’x80’x14.5’ in size, while a rugged, corrosion-resistant Galvalume roof sits overhead, offering a 1:12 roof pitch.
Stone Beige in color, the building arrived pre-assembled in carefully labeled components, streamlining the erection process, and it stands strong in the face of numerous potential Wyoming construction hazards, among them pests, moisture, fire and heavy snowfall.
