Prefabricated Steel Commercial Building in Brighton, Colorado

The owner of Next Steel Building Erector, a Brighton, Colorado-based metal construction company needed a multi-use space to use to support business operations and ordered the two pre-engineered steel buildings needed from the project from Sunward Steel in December 2022.

Featuring two smaller structures (a traditional metal building and an attached steel lean-to) fused together to create one large commercial building, this structure gives the owner 7,500 square feet of open interior space perfect for storing tools and equipment, fabricating steel components, housing work trucks and lifts, and otherwise supporting day-to-day operational efforts. Custom-designed inside and out, the building boasts a striking exterior, with Light Stone-colored walls, Koko Brown architectural trim and several feet of stone wainscoting contributing to its curb appeal. It also has four large windows that allow plenty of natural light inside, boosting ambiance while reducing the business’s reliance on artificial heating during the winter.

Designed for heavy industrial use and equally heavy foot traffic, the building features rugged steel construction that resists damage from fire, moisture, pests and other hazards. Additional customizations include gutters and downspouts along the roofline that channel moisture away from the walls and foundation, protecting the building’s structural integrity.
