Sunward Steel Buildings, Inc., was pleased to manufacture and provide this pre-engineered steel commercial building for a customer in Bruceton Mills, West Virginia, in August of 2001.

Following the delivery of the building kit from North Dakota to West Virginia, the spacious, built-to-last steel building began functioning as the company headquarters of GEC Inc., a renowned electrical contracting company specializing in power line and substation construction, industrial and commercial electrical contracting and similar efforts. The company provides a broad range of additional services for customers throughout much of West Virginia, aiding with telecommunications, emergency services, alternative energy and related endeavors.

Boasting a striking, Rustic Red interior, the steel company headquarters effectively merges aesthetics with functionality, and overhead, it has a heavy-duty, corrosion-resistant Galvalume steel roof with a 2:12 pitch and matching Rustic Red trim. Throughout the spacious metal building, offering easy access inside it, are (6) 3070 walk door openings enclosing (6) 3070 walk doors.

The metal industrial building also features several enhancements that make it especially well-suited for life in West Virginia’s variable climate. It has an eave gutter along two sides and 140 linear feet of downspouts spanning six locations, which keep rainwater or snow from collecting in places where it could potentially lead to damage. It also boasts a 70-mph wind speed rating and a 20-psf snow load, which allow it to maintain compliance with applicable building code requirements.
