Prefabricated Metal Self-Storage Building in Spearfish, South Dakota
Sunward Steel buildings, Inc., was proud to fabricate and supply this pre-engineered metal mini storage building on behalf of a customer in Spearfish, South Dakota, in October of 2000.
Ever since, it has undergone use as a self-storage facility, providing a safe, dry environment for residents from across the Black Hills area to store vehicles, boats or personal items used around the home. The metal self-storage center has changed hands several times since its original purchase more than 20 years ago, but it has maintained its beauty, functionality and durability through the years despite South Dakota’s variable climate.
Mini Storage Building Details
Comprised of heavy-duty steel components, the metal mini storage building has an attractive White exterior, and its roof, too, is White with matching trim and a modest 1:12 pitch. After a relatively easy and brief erection process, the building stands 32’x125’x11’ in size and offers high overhead clearance, making it ideal for storing boats and other oversize assets.
The storage units within the building come in an assortment of sizes, and the current owner rents them out in exchange for a monthly or annual fee. The building also features a 90-mph wind speed rating, which enhances durability with regard for the climate characteristics of the area while keeping the self-storage facility building code-compliant.
Economical, Sustainable Mini Storage Buildings
Many entrepreneurs looking to enter the always-profitable self-storage industry choose to do so using prefabricated metal mini storage buildings. Affordable in terms of purchase price, erection costs and upkeep, steel storage buildings maintain their structural integrity through harsh weather and heavy usage. They also have the capacity to generate a steady stream of revenue for their owners.
