Steel School Storage Building in Duxbury, Vermont

Sunward Steel Buildings, Inc., had the honor of manufacturing and providing this pre-engineered steel storage building for a client in Duxbury, Vermont, in July of 2008.

Ever since, the building has functioned as a maintenance building and janitorial staff workshop on the grounds of Crossett Brook Middle School, which serves several hundred local students in fifth through eighth grades.

The metal storage and maintenance building houses extra desks, chairs, and similar supplies when not in use, freeing up more space within the school building, itself. It also provides a safe, all-season space to house the school’s cleaning and janitorial supplies.

Rugged, Reliable Storage Solutions

Often chosen by communities seeking low-cost, easy-to-erect municipal buildings that stand the test of time, pre-engineered metal storage and maintenance buildings offer sustainable alternatives to wooden structures. Resistant to fires, corrosion, and similar sources of damage, steel buildings hold up tremendously well over time, and they are also inherently low maintenance, requiring little from the owner in terms of upkeep.

This particular school storage building has served the janitorial staff of Crossett Brook Middle School well through the years, both by protecting school property and by providing a safe place to store supplies that frees up more usable space within the school building.

Situated along the Winooski River, the town of Duxbury is part of Washington County, in north-central Vermont. The community lies about 12 miles northwest of Montpelier, Vermont’s state capital, and about 5 miles outside Waterbury Center.
