The 68’x40’x12.5’ barndominium style metal building is comprised of premium-quality steel, yet it boasts the look and feel of a classic seaside residence, serving as a prime example of just how far steel construction has come through the years in terms of design and aesthetics.

Building Specifications

Ideal for couples looking to relax and unwind while overlooking the neighboring pond, the steel cottage features an eye-catching, Misty Grey exterior and complementing white trim. Overhead, its rugged metal roof helps guard against corrosion and offers a 5:12 pitch, while 6-inch rain gutters help divert water off the roof and away from the steel retreat’s foundation.

The cottage also features (6) framed openings, among them (2) 3070 openings enclosing (2) 3070 commercial structural doors, (2) 10’x14’ openings enclosing (2) 10’x14’ overhead doors, (1) 10’x10’ opening harboring (1) 10’x10’ overhead door and (1) 3’x3’ window. Additional characteristics include a 10-psf snow load and a 144-mph wind load, the latter of which was an accommodation made with regard for the strong storm and hurricane activity that sometimes comes through the island.
