Sunward Steel Buildings, Inc., was the proud fabricator and provider of this prefabricated indoor soccer arena in St. Peters, Missouri, in September of 1999.

Ever since, the rugged, sustainable steel building has undergone use as a sports complex for the Tony Glavin Soccer Club, which seeks to provide a place for players of all ages and abilities to practice soccer while helping them grow, develop and inch closer toward their personal goals. At the helm of the soccer club is Anthony Glavin, an all-star soccer MVP and National Soccer Hall of Fame inductee who has about 30 years of experience coaching youth soccer. The facility also hosts soccer tournaments, camps, and other special events throughout the year, providing a safe, all-season space for community members and soccer enthusiasts to come together and hone their skills.

Misty Grey in color, the building boasts impressive street appeal, and following a relatively easy construction process, it stands an expansive 70’x170’x20’ in size.

The roof of the steel soccer arena is comprised of heavy-duty, corrosion-resistant Galvalume metal and has complementing Dark Green trim and a 1:12 roof pitch. The building has a clear-span design that eliminates interior trusses and columns, freeing up more space to play, and it also has high ceilings, which is essential for any type of court sport.

Offering access inside the metal athletic arena are (4) 3070 framed openings, each enclosing one of (4) 3070 walk doors, and it also has (8) 11’-4” skylights that brighten up the interior by letting natural light inside. The steel soccer stadium also has several customizations added in consideration of the climate characteristics and building codes in place in St. Peters, among them 360 downspouts that divert water away from the foundation and a 70-mph wind speed rating that enhances overall durability.
