Sunward Steel Buildings, Inc. custom built a steel restaurant building and beach house for Spinney’s Restaurant and Guesthouse in Phippsburg, Maine in October of 1998.
Glen Theall, Owner of Spinney’s needed a home for their business. As one of Maine’s local hotspots for seafood and lodging, Sunward Steel was tasked with creating a one-of-a-kind facility for the beachfront location. As a popular location for tourists and locals, Spinney’s has used the Sunward Steel building for the past 20 years. Before Sunward’s addition to the property, the original building dated back to 1870. The unique pre-fabricated structure has been a critical component to the success of day-to-day operations. Glen has been incredibly pleased with the space.
Customers are also raving about the location. Spinney’s frequently receive positive reviews for the food, service, and incredible location.
The custom built steel building sits on 1.13 acres just a few steps away from the sandy shoreline. Sunward Steel built a 48’x79’x14’ business facility for Spinney’s. You’ll find it beachside with a misty grey exterior and a galvalume roof. The roof contains a 2:12 pitch to meet the needs of the operation.
