Sunward Steel Buildings, Inc., was proud to fabricate and supply this pre-engineered steel maintenance building in Little Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, in October of 2002.

Ever since, it has functioned as a maintenance house and storage area for the Ocean County Department of Parks and Recreation, which manages and oversees 27 parks and recreation areas and more than 4,000 acres of land in and around coastal New Jersey.

The department also organizes volunteer opportunities that seek to improve the surrounding parks community, and it also operates a Junior Naturalists program that teaches youths the importance of doing the same. The department also plays an important role in hosting a number of annual special events and celebrations of the area’s culture and heritage, and this steel building houses equipment used in these and related department efforts.

Featuring premium-quality steel construction, the maintenance building is 60’x125’x21’ in size and has a high overhead clearance that allows for a mezzanine, which expands usable floor space even further. Stone Beige in color, the metal building has a complementing White roof overhead that has matching Stone Beige trim and a 1.2:12 pitch.

It has a front entrance area with a vestibule, and it also has louver systems throughout that allow air and light to flow through. Other notable customizations include (3) 3070 walk door openings enclosing (3) 3070 walk doors with full trim and a 90-mph wind speed rating, which keeps the metal maintenance building compliant with applicable building codes.
