Ever since, it has functioned as a retail store for Fromm Electric, an electric supply and automation company with nine branches across Pennsylvania. Designed to hold its own when faced with heavy use, extreme weather, and similar hazards, the metal retail store stands 50’x70’x14’ once raised and features an unobstructed clear span and high overhead clearance, allowing for the use and storage of oversize equipment.

The store boasts an attractive Misty Gray exterior, and its Galvalume steel roof features complementing Burnished Slate-colored trim and a slight 2:12 pitch. Key features include a high-performance insulation package that keeps energy bills low and stores employees comfortably, regardless of temperature or time of year. The roof and walls of the steel retail store both contain 6” layers of WMP-VR-faced fiberglass insulation.

The metal retail operation also has (7) door and window openings in a variety of sizes, among them (2) 3070 openings enclosing (2) 3070 walk doors, (1) 10’x10’ overhead door, (1) 6’4”x7’2” walk door, and (3) 6’x4’ windows. Enhancing durability even further are 1.5” fasteners used in the store’s roof and walls, while a 6” eave gutter 5” downspouts, which match the store’s roof trim, help prevent snow or rainwater from collecting on the roof or near the base of the steel building. Other climate-related accommodations include a 35-psf snow load and a 90-mph wind speed rating.
