Steel Residential & Commercial Building Details
Comprised of premium, high-end steel components, the building offers both a residential space and a commercial one, giving the business owner a dual-purpose property where he can live and conduct business simultaneously. Once raised, the prefabricated metal building stands 50’x68’x24’ in size, and it features a broad clear span that maximizes space for inventory storage and high ceilings that further enhance functionality and storage capabilities.
Equal parts attractive and accommodating, the steel residential and corporate building boasts a striking, Dark Green exterior, while a complementing Brown roof sits overhead, protecting against the Hawaii elements while offering a 4:12 roof pitch. Other customizations include (1) 3070 walk door opening enclosing (1) 3070 commercial walk door system and an 80-mph wind load; the latter of which was an inclusion made in compliance with local building codes.
Economical, Sustainable Multipurpose Metal Buildings
Sometimes referred to as “barndominiums,” prefabricated steel buildings that merge residential and commercial or work spaces are becoming increasingly popular among entrepreneurs and business owners, many of whom want to shorten their commutes and adopt a better work-life balance. Almost completely customizable in terms of color, features, insulation, ceiling height, ventilation, configuration and more, steel buildings offer structurally sound alternatives to wood construction that typically come with much lower costs of ownership.
This particular steel apartment and corporate office building has housed Big Island Tents operations since 2002, providing a safe, year-round space for company staff to conduct business.
